Ralph Stephen "Richie" Richards, Sr. age 82 of Raymond, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, March 4, 2016. He was born on June 17, 1933 in Stewartstown, NH the son of the late, Stephen F. and Helen (Gallagher) Richards. Mr. Richards served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Army. He retired at the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Ralph worked as a district manager for Merit Oil Company in the Northeast Region where he retired following many years of service.

He was an avid NE Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. Ralph took great pride and joy helping to raise his two granddaughters, Lisa and Laura. He enjoyed family gatherings where he enjoyed both cooking and baking pies for his family. He was affectionately known as "The Pie Guy".

Ralph was predeceased by his wife, Alma R. (Brouillard) Richards on January 18, 1994. He is survived by his daughters; Mary T. Corsetto and husband, Corrado of Plaistow, NH, Ellen Stevenson and fiancé Richie Taylor of Newton, NH, Betty Richardson and longtime friend, Dave Frost of Raymond, NH and Jodi Riley and husband, Chet of Fremont, NH. His sons; Ralph S.
"Butch" Richards, Jr. and fiancé Donna Deschamp of Haverhill, MA, Michael A. Chaisson, Sr. and fiancé, Jody DeSimone of Newton, NH, Steven Chaisson and fiancé, Cheryl St. Louis of Derry, NH and Timothy Richards and wife, Donna of Londonderry, NH. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Susan A. Jones and his sister, Lois Ricci.

Family and friends are invited to attend Mr. Richards' Life Celebration on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 4-8 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street (Rt. 121A), Plaistow, NH 03865. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 10 AM. Burial with U.S. Army military honors will follow the services in Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover, MA.
