Rajnikant Dahyabhai Shah

Rajnikant "Raj" Dahyabhai Shah, of Santa Clarita, CA, passed away on August 14th, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on July 28, 1941, in Mumbai, India, to the late Dahyabhai Bhailal Shah and Vijyalaxmi Chatrabhuj Kothari, he was the youngest son of nine children.

With a master’s degree in chemical engineering, Raj enjoyed a distinguished career of over 40 years in the aerospace industry. His passion for life was evident in his love of travel, exploring both international destinations and various parts of the United States. Raj's legacy of love, dedication, and wisdom will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Raj is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Ida Shah, and their four beloved children: Bobby Shah (Ivory), Nina Chouinard (Chris), Neil Shah (Lisa), and Seema Shah. He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Brody, Anna-Lise, Cain, Antonia, Savannah, Meadow, and Oceana. He is also remembered by his younger sister, Minaxi Mehta, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services, honoring his Hindu beliefs, will be held on September 5th at 10:30 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale. Raj’s family welcomes guests to gather at their home following the service.
