Rachel Charlene Peterson

Rachel Charlene (Cooper) Peterson peacefully passed away November 3, 2018 at the age of 71 in Newhall, CA.

Rachel was born April 23, 1947 in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Washington High School, Sioux Falls, SD in 1965 and then graduated from Stewart School of Cosmetology in 1966.

In 1967 she moved to North Hollywood, CA and married her high school sweetheart, Lester Wayne Peterson (WHS 1966) and spent the next 50 years married. She became a mother to Kim in 1967 and Diana in 1977.

From 1970 to 1984, Rachel worked as a hair dresser for May Company and in 1985 worked for Brendan Tours until retirement.

Rachel is survived by her Daughters Kim Pape and Diana Edwards (John) both of Valencia, CA, Granddaughters Amanda Pape and Brooke Hadsell-Edwards, Grandsons Brian Pape, Trent, Tyler, Seth & Shane Edwards, sister Carol Bender (Jerry), and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lester Peterson, mother Thelma Dodge, father Lyle Copper and son-in-law Edward A Pape, Jr,.
