Racheal Ann Speer

Racheal Ann (Oberle) Speer, a resident of Palm Springs for 45+ years, died of natural causes on October 2, 2022 at the age of 87.

Racheal was born on September 29, 1935 in Richmond, Indiana to David and Blanche Oberle. After graduating from Richmond High School in 1954, she attended Michigan State University in Lansing where her children Dana and Steve were born. Racheal returned to Richmond where she married Jim Speer and welcomed children Traci, David, Jami and Chris.

Her professional life was as a Realtor in the Richmond area where she also volunteered in various community activities. Racheal served as the Heart Drive Leader for Wayne County in 1974. Jim and Racheal raised their family in Richmond until moving to Palm Springs in 1975.

Greeting her in Heaven was her husband Jim R. Speer, children David, Traci and Steve as well as her great-granddaughter Emma May. Survivors include children Dana Tedford of Oakdale, CA., Jami Cain and Chris Speer of Palm Springs, CA. Grandchildren Rhiannon Mehlhaff, Erin May, Daniel Cain, Shantel Faugno, Heather York, Nicole Catris, Chris Cain, Reece Speer and Rylee Speer. Great-Grandchildren Will, Gabe, Dakota, Greta & Shep May, Kyndle & Christian Mehlhaff, Peyton, Riland & Darin Cain, Drake, Noah & Elise York and Jordynn & Isabella Faugno.

A private service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
