Quentin Manes

Quentin Dale Manes passed away peacefully at Caring House in Torrance, Ca with his daughters by his side on October 3, 2023 at the age of 83 years old. Quentin was born in Danville, Arkansas on August 1, 1940. He was one of 10 children growing up in rural Arkansas. His parents, James and Evelyn moved the family to Long Beach, Ca when Quentin was 10 years old. “Q” as he was affectionately called by many of his friends, family and colleagues is survived by his loving daughters, Tina (Craig) and Deborah, grandchildren, Christina, Tayler, Brennan, Stephaney and Katherine. Great grandchildren, Ryan, Lynne, Eaddie, Ellie, Izabell, Liam, Luke, Bradley, Jon, Madelyn, Cole, Connor, Madison, Davis, Isaac, Marisa  and Cameron. As well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Quentin is predeceased in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn, his parents James and Evelyn  and his siblings, Mildred, Bob, Rene, Ken, Sue, Ralph and two infant brothers. His sister Jeanie is sole surviving sibling.  “Q” was a Police Officer and Residential Burglary Detective for the city of Long Beach for 32 years. Please join us for a service being held in “Q”s honor at Cypress Forest Lawn 4471 Lincoln Ave, Cypress 90630.  Visitation is on Thursday, November 16^th from 4-8 in the Cypress Room. Funeral is on Friday, November 17^th  in the Patriots Chapel from 2-3pm. Internment is immediately following service at Graveside.
