Proceso Palma Jusay

July 2, 1948 — March 29, 2022

Proceso Palma Jusay, affectionately known by family and friends as Procy, was born on July 2, 1948 to Rustica Del Rosario Palma and Dr. Fernando Jusay in the city of Lucena in the Quezon Province of the Philippines. He was preceded by his late elder brothers Jose "Boy" and Guillermo "Willy"; and was followed by the only sister and surviving sibling, Nila.

Like most Lucena locals, Procy attended Mary Knoll Elementary. For high school, he attended Luzonian University from which he also graduated college and eventually received his Bachelor's in Business Administration and majored in Marketing.

Luzonian University is where he met the love of his life, Lina Piñero Narvaez, with whom he had three children before emigrating to the US in 1980.

Procy is a classic example of the American dream: he believed that if he worked hard enough, he'll achieve his goals.

And achieve them he did. He was able to bring his wife and family to America, housed, fed, clothed, provided for and sent them through college… all by the sweat of his brow!

In his sacrificial quest to provide for his family, he became jack of all trades: tennis instructor, hotel concierge, retail worker, and Fullerton School District bus driver among other things.

Though he retired from full time employment in 2013, Procy is not content to idle away; almost up to his departure, he would come in to work once or twice a week.

Procy and Lina were blessed with four children: Neil Chester, Paulo, Maria Celeste and Joanna. They were further blessed with seven grandchildren: Kamilah Jewel, Elijah Jadon, Kasey Cameron, Mateo, Darilyn Jade, Kaleigh Madison and Maiah.
