It is with hearts that we announce the passing of Priscilla "Precy" Tan, a remarkable woman whose vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication touched the lives of many. Born on April 26, in Marikina, Philippines, Precy's journey on this earth came to a close on January 18, 2026. She faced the challenges of Parkinson’s Disease with incredible strength, choosing to live life fully and embrace every moment, relentlessly exploring the world around her.
Precy's education laid the foundation for a successful career as an Insurance Agent and Underwriter. However, her true calling lay beyond the confines of her profession. She was an active and beloved community member at St. Denis Parish and devoted herself passionately to various socio-civic organizations, including the Geronians and Angels of Hope organization. Her legacy is woven through the lives she enriched and the communities she supported.
Above all, Precy was a loving wife to her husband, Rey Mangabat, who stood by her side throughout their life and her battled with the disease for more than 10 years. Devoted to her family, Precy took immense pride in her four boys, Glenn, Jason and wife Lourdes, Bryan and wife Margret, and Sherwin Tan. She celebrated the joys of motherhood with a wide smile, and her heart brimmed with love for her cherished grandchildren:Cj, Skyla, Noah and Jadine Tan . They were not just her legacy but the embodiment of her love and aspirations.
Precy lived for the joy of sharing experiences and adventures with her friends and family. Her enthusiasm for life classified her as a gastronome, always eager to explore delightful culinary treasures and indulge in the simple pleasures of good food and shopping, with a particular fondness for purses. Her love for travel took her across five continents, allowing her to immerse herself in various cultures and cuisines, creating memories with her husband Rey that will forever warm the hearts of those who knew her.
Though she now journeys in spirit, Precy leaves behind a tapestry of cherished memories, woven tightly with love, laughter, and the spirit of adventure. She will be profoundly missed by her family: and her dear friends; Cita Leonor, Elsa Umali, Ditas Rodriguez, cousin and bestfriend Flor Sumulong, Del Azcueta, Ely Nepumoceno, the "Train Divas" - Elvie Harrill, Merla Dizon, Susan Yu , Doy Tegelan and Linda Gwinn who have all learned so much from her zest for life. She also wish to thank her high school and lifetime friends from St. Bridget of Qeuzon City who held her up in prayers.
Precy is survived by her beloved husband Rey, her children and grandchildren, and numerous friends who were all graced by her warmth. She also leaves behind her siblings, Alice and Al Cuenco, Diana Trinidad, Linda and Edwin Tuason, along with her nephews and niece, Steven and Allen Cuenco, Alvin and Angelica Tuason, and Lawrewnce, Leandro and Liane and their dad Tommy Del Mundo who will carry her spirit with them forever.
In a celebration of her life, family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on February 1, 2026, from 3 PM to 4 PM at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills - Tribute Center, followed by a funeral service on February 2, 2026, at 9:30 AM at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills - Church of our Heritage.
As we say farewell to Precy, we remember her not with tears of sorrow but with gratitude for the countless moments she gifted us. Her journey may have taken her beyond this world, but her spirit, her laughter, and her love will forever resonate in our hearts.
