Priscilla B. Motonaga

Priscilla B. Motonaga, 62, born on December 6, 1951 in Manila, Philippines, peacefully passed away on June 8, 2014. She resided in Signal Hill, California, at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.

Survived by her only child, Paul Motonaga, her mother, Consolacion Banzon, her sisters, Zenaida Koerber, Herminia Obligar, Irene Nelson and many nieces and nephews.

Priscilla arrived in the United States over 30 years ago. She's resided primarily in the South Bay area, including Harbor City, Torrance, and most recently in Signal Hill.

Priscilla enjoyed a career as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher for 25 years, until her disease caused her to retire early in 2011. With her Doctors telling her she'd only be able to survive 12 months, she fought the disease head on and displayed amazing bravery and strength throughout her 3 year battle.

Priscilla's biggest accomplishment and what she'll always be remembered for was being an amazing mother and a true role model of strength, bravery and hope.
