Priscilla Bactista

Priscilla "Precy" Bactista, a beloved figure in her family and community, passed away peacefully at her home in Walnut on October 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving husband, Tony Bactista, their three daughters, son-in-laws, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close relatives. Born on July 11, 1953, in the Philippines, Priscilla dedicated her life to caring for others, a passion that she embraced wholeheartedly throughout her distinguished career.

For over 50 years, Priscilla worked as a Registered Nurse. She began her nursing journey as an Operating Room nurse in Germany before migrating to the United States, where she worked diligently in the Intensive Care Unit and Recovery Room at St. Jude Medical Center. After a fulfilling tenure there, Priscilla retired but continued her noble vocation by serving as a Hospice Nurse, demonstrating her relentless commitment to caring for patients and their families during their most difficult times.

Priscilla was known for her unwavering kindness, always putting the well-being of others before her own. Her personality was steadfastly loving and welcoming, making her an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Family meant everything to Priscilla; she tirelessly ensured that everyone had what they needed, embodying the essence of selflessness. During holidays, she transformed family gatherings into joyful celebrations with fun games and her warmth as a host, making sure every guest felt cherished.

Not only did she have a remarkable career, but Priscilla also nurtured a passion for gardening. Her extensive orchid collection was a testament to her skill in bringing plants back to life, providing beauty and tranquility to her home. This love for nature reflected her gentle spirit and nurturing touch.

As we remember Priscilla, we celebrate her legacy of compassion and love. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Tony Bactista, and their daughters: Germany, Geraldine, and Gerlynde, who will forever hold dear the memories of their cherished mother.

Viewing will be held in her honor on November 14, 2025, at the Church of our Heritage located at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills in Covina, CA, beginning at 5:00 PM.  Funeral Services will be held at St Lorenzo Ruiz Catholic Church - Walnut, CA, beginning at 12:00 PM.  Interment immediately following church services at Gardens of Christian Heritage at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills, CA.

Priscilla "Precy" Bactista will be profoundly missed, but her light will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
