Princide Millanes Sr.

Princide Millanes Sr. was born to Gloria Dolandolan and José Millanes on July 13, 1946, in Zambales, Philippines. He was a security guard in his younger years. Along the way he met his loving wife, Lilia, in Marikina, Philippines and had three children. He moved his family of five to Southern California in 1988. Up until 1992 he had suffered from a stroke at the age of 46, but that didn't stop him from caring for himself, his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Princide lived a simple life. Everyday he would be with his wife in the backyard as she gardens. He has taken care of her more as they got older and as she grew more forgetful. He loved to listen and sing along with his wife to music from artists like Victor Wood, Eddie Peregrina, and Anthony Castelo. He enjoyed watching the Lakers, but he also had a special love for watching and betting on horseracing with his brothers and nephews. One thing about him is that he was always surrounded by family wherever he was and that never stopped...even when he passed.

Princide passed away at the age of 76 on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center with his family at his side. He is survived by his wife (Lilia), 3 children (Girlie, Rosalie, and Princide Jr.), and 5 grandchildren (Jasmine, Michael, Jomar, Alexander, and Dominic).

Viewing will be held in the Hope Chapel (attached to the main Forest Lawn building) on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 12pm-8pm

Funeral service will start at the Patriot's Chapel on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 11:30am-12:30pm (doors open at 11am)
