Portia Marie Ordonez

Portia Marie “Bheng” Ordonez, age 47, of Artesia, California, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 31, 1979, in Cauayan City, Isabela, Philippines, to Arturo and Teresita Ordonez, Portia grew up with a deep devotion to her family and community. Portia’s love for her family was the driving force behind everything she accomplished. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from St. Jude College in the Philippines. In 2001, Bheng officially moved to the United States and approached every opportunity with remarkable resilience, determination, and grace. To know Bheng was to know joy and laughter. She was naturally jolly, cheerful, and funny, with an infectious smile and a lighthearted spirit that could instantly lift anyone's mood. Unfailingly friendly and generous, her family was the center of her world. Bheng loved dancing, cooking delicious meals for her loved ones, playing games during Christmas, and making the holidays special by buying matching pajamas for every family member—including their partners. She also held a deep love for her cherished dog, Snow, who brought her immense comfort and happiness. A deeply religious woman, Bheng held Jesus close to her heart throughout her life and found continuous comfort in her devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe. Portia is survived by her devoted mother, Teresita Ordonez; her beloved brothers, Arturo "Butch" Ordonez III and Nicholas Consuelo "Nick" Ordonez; her extended family of nieces and nephews, and cousins; and a wide circle of dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Arturo Ordonez Jr., and her sister, Maria Teresita Aurora "Tetchie" Ordonez De Castro.

Arrangements in the United States are under the care of Forest Lawn in Cypress, California, where a viewing will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026. In accordance with her last wishes to be laid to rest beside her father, services will continue in the Philippines under the care of St. Peter the Apostle Memorial Homes in San Fermin, Cauayan City, Isabela. A wake will take place from September 26 to September 29, 2026, followed by the burial service on September 30, 2026, at Heaven's Garden in Cauayan City, Isabela. In lieu of flowers, family and friends wishing to support Bheng’s final journey home to the Philippines may contribute to her GoFundMe campaign at [https://gofund.me/8265bf0ef].
