It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doctor Policarpio (Lito) Flores Enriquez on July 15, 2024, at the age of 81 from Congestive Heart Failure. Lito was born on May 15, 1943 in the province town of Macabebe, Pampanga in the Philippines to Policarpio and Lorenza (Nee Flores) Enriquez. He was the second to the youngest of five children.
After graduating from Letran college in Manila, Philippines Lito earned his medical degree from the University of Santo Thomas (UST). During medical school a mutual friend introduced him to the love of his life and beloved wife, Linda Borja of 55 years. Shortly after the birth of their first child, Liza, Lito and Linda immigrated to the United States to begin their career as physicians. Lito completed his Internship at the Deaconess Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where is second child Lolly was born. Shortly thereafter they moved to the Los Angeles area where their third child, Patrick was born. Lito completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Veterans Administration, Wadsworth in West Los Angeles. From there they moved to Sacramento, California where they had their fourth child Peter and where Lito worked for 9 years at Kaiser Permanente. The Enriquez family relocated back to Los Angeles where Lito established his own private practice. Later he worked for the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department until his retirement in 2013.
Lito was a humble man with a heart full of generosity. He would secretly give money to those who needed and never said no when asked. His hobbies included spending time with his family, going to the movies, and going to the casino.
Lito is survived by his wife Linda Enriquez, Daughters Liza Enriquez-Leff and Lolly Enriquez Ortiz-Luis; Sons Patrick Enriquez and Peter Enriquez. Sons-in-law Jonathan Leff and Dennis Oritz-Luis. Daughter-in-law Cecilia Enriquez. Grandchildren Nikole Ortiz-Luis, Skyler, Ortiz-Luis, and Elias Enriquez, sisters Paz Isip, Adelaida Bustos, and brother Eugenio Enriquez as well as several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Monday August 12 from 10am - 2pm and 4pm - 8pm and Tuesday August 13 from 4pm - 8pm at the Hope Chapel - Forest Lawn Cypress. 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, CA.
A short visitation will be held on Wednesday August 14 at 10 am followed by mass at St. Denis Catholic Church in Diamond Bar, California. 2151 S. Diamond Bar Blvd. Diamond Bar, California. Interment to follow on Lawn Sunrise at Forest Lawn Cypress.
