Pless Taylor, a beloved member of the community, was born on July 5, 1933, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, in Palmdale, California.
Throughout his life, Pless embodied strength, perseverance, and kindness, touching the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him. His journey through life was marked by numerous experiences that shaped him into the remarkable person he became. A few of those experiences include: Practicing as an ordained minister and serving in the Air Force as a professional musician.
Pless lived a fulfilling life, defined by his commitment to family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Etheline Taylor, they were married for 67 happy years. Pless is also survived by his 3 children Andrea, Pless II, who preceded Pless in passing, and lastly by his third child Allen Wade. Pless was also blessed with 7 grandchildren: Nalisha, Rodney Jr., Allen Wade II, Alanta (who also preceded Pless in passing), Naomi, Jaqueline and Alena. Along with his 7 grandchildren, Pless was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren and hosts of spiritual sons and daughters.
Pless was also loved and cherished by his extended family, the Taylors, the Traylors and other family members. He will be remembered not only for his warmth and generosity but also for his ability to inspire those around him.
A graveside service to honor Pless's memory will be held at Riverside National Cemetery, located at 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, March Air Reserve Base, CA 92518, on May 9, 2025. The service will begin at 11:30 AM, with guests invited to join in remembrance as we celebrate the life and legacy of Pless Taylor. Eulogy will be given by his wife, Etheline Taylor.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will always be cherished. As we reflect on his life, we find comfort in the memories we shared and the lasting impact he made on our lives.
