Age 90. Died peacefully on February 24, 2014 in Quaker Gardens Senior Living, Stanton, CA. She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Rev. Dr. Virgil Bjerke. Devoted and loving mother of Naomi [Mike] Blackmore, Esther [Paul] Larsen, Virgil 'Wayne' [Blanca] Bjerke, Luke Bjerke and John [Christine] Bjerke. Grandmother of Erik, Emily & Jeff. Great Grandmother of Johanna & Trey. Sister of Maxine Mathias, Lowell Larson & Carol Campbell. Our families have been blessed by her life and faith which was an inspiration to those whose lives she touched. Memorial Service 11:30 am, Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Hope Lutheran Church, 13841 Milton Ave., Westminster, CA. Interment at Forest Lawn, Cypress, CA. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Quaker Gardens GMC, 12151 Dale St., Stanton CA or the charity of your choice.
