Philliss Elaine Snyder

September 4, 1925 — July 6, 2019

Philliss Elaine Snyder was born on September 4, 1925, in Bancroft, IA, second of ten children, to Harry and Esther Ditsworth. She passed away July 6, 2019. Philliss grew up in Algona, IA, in a large, happy family. She married Cecil Snyder in 1946 and the first of their 4 children was born 11 months later. The family moved to Anaheim in 1961, where she lived until her death. Her home was open to everyone and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and catching up on what was going on in their lives. Christmas was her favorite time of year and her mantel was a masterpiece, with a hand-made stocking for every family member. She made sure every stocking contained an orange, an apple, and plenty of lottery tickets. She was very creative, and hobbies included crocheting, embroidery, china painting, cake decorating; she especially loved working on her crossword puzzles daily.

Survived by her children: Terry Snyder, Randy (Kathy) Snyder, Rick Snyder, Cindy (Larry) Sullivan; Grandchildren: Tricia Snyder, Rylan (Ana) Sullivan, Joe Snyder, Tamra Snyder, Lani (Tony) Sabri, Alissa (Tom) Valeriote, and Zachary Snyder; great-grandchildren: Morgan, Caden, Ileina, Colby, Alexis, Koa, Kalia, Peyton, Malana, Tessa, Liam, Keenan, Angelica, Marissa, and Alyssa; siblings: Tom Ditsworth, Nancy Walker, and June (Jim) Long, brother-in-law, Ed Cooper, sisters-in-law, Jackie Schneidewind and Mary Ann Ditsworth, and countless nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, six siblings, and infant great-grandchild.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
