Phillip L. Palermo - Riverside, California
July 6, 1938 - March 12, 2016: Phillip was born in Rochester, New York and moved to California in 1969. While sampling several areas in the Los Angeles area he finally settled in the Inland Empire Area where he owned and operated several businesses throughout his career and resided for over 40 years. Phillip is survived by his two brothers; Richard Palermo and Michael Palermo, five children; Dana Palermo, Alan Palermo, Marie Perotti, Gina Carosella, and Christine Palermo; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Phillip served in the United States Coast Guard for several years in the late 1950's before embarking on several careers in construction, including founder of Elco Aire Management. A second generation Italian American Phillip took great pride in his heritage and for several years organized and operated an annual golf tournament for the Southwestern Italian Golf Association where friends and business associates enjoyed several days of golf, food, drink, story telling, and camaraderie. True to his heritage, Phillip had a passion for food and loved sharing that passion with family during the holidays and other family gatherings, his weekly liars poker event with his close friends, and at the aforementioned annual Southwestern Italian Golf Association event.

Phillip passed away peacefully with one of his brothers, several children and grandchildren at his side as he embarked on the next leg of his journey. A family and friends celebration of life is planned for March 23, 2016 at 2:30 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 21300 Via Verde Drive, Covina, CA. Those who appreciated Philip are welcome to attend.
