Philip Alex Romero

Philip Alex Romero, 73, of Banning, Calif. passed away on December 13, 2012 in Riverside County, Calif. He was born on May 26, 1939 in Indio, Calif. to Juan Francisco and Juanita Romero. He was married to Rosario P. Romero. He was a Psycho Therapist in the Mental Health Field for 30 years. He is survived by wife, Rosario P. Romero of Banning; sons, Phillip Romero, Jr., David Romero and Anthony Lares; daughters, Virginia Lares, Monica Diaz, Rebecca Espinoza and Rosemarie Gonzalez; sisters, Cris Romero, Francis Lopez and Esther Romero and 25 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Juanita Romero; brothers, Ysidro, Manuel, Joe, Bernie and Alex Romero; and sister, Leah Ramos. Philip was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus for 23 years. Services will be Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Indio. Visitation is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Rosary at 11:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. Final resting place will be at Coachella Valley Cemetery, Coachella, Calif. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Indio.
