Philip Keung Lee

August 30, 1948 — January 12, 2016

Philip Keung Lee, 67, passed away Tuesday, January 12th, 2016 at St. Jude Medical in Fullerton, CA.

Philip Lee was born in Shanghai, China in 1948. Two years later, he came down to Hong Kong right before the communist party of China closed the Chinese border for good. As a bright youngster in Hong Kong, he was particularly interested in many new inventions of his time – like wireless radio, photo taking and film developing using the dark-room technique. Later on, he would use his lunch money to buy those used equipment and studied them on his own.

After he completed his high school diploma, he worked in the insurance market, as a mutual fund agent, and as a loan officer with one of the major banks in Hong Kong. Philip is a kind person who is always ready to help and to walk the extra mile for everyone. He loved his family and he loved his mother with everything. Every night after work, he would sit with her for hours until she falls asleep.

For the last 25 years, Philip has been working for the United States Postal Services where he found joy and satisfaction, and most importantly, a group of friends to share things and feelings like a big family.

He is survived by his son Michael. Funeral services will be performed by Pastor Daniel Fan at Forest Lawn Memorial - Parks & Mortuaries Covina, CA. on Friday, January 22nd, 2016 at 11:30 A.M. Condolences can be mailed to 8115 Norwalk Blvd. apt.#9 Whittier, CA. 90606
