Philip Delfin Fernandez, born on December 16, 1986, peacefully passed away on June 12, 2026 at St Jude Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones. His journey through life was marked by a joyful personality that warmly touched all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Philip was a beacon of joy and resilience, living each day with pride, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to giving his best. He had a remarkable ability to bring warmth and happiness wherever he went, embracing life with a contagious enthusiasm that brightened the hearts of family and friends.
One of Philip’s proudest accomplishments was earning his GED, a testament to his determination to continue learning and growing. He enriched his life experience through the WorkAbility program, showing that his spirit for growth was unrelenting. Another milestone close to his heart was passing his written driving exam and spending treasured moments behind the wheel under the careful coaching of his father, Donato Fernandez. These achievements were not just milestones, but reflections of his perseverance and the love that surrounded him.
Philip delighted in the stories of good versus evil, immersing himself in worlds of superheroes, Star Wars, and video games. He also enjoyed watching sports and movies with family, where his laughter or cheers would fill the entire room.
He is survived by a loving family who held him close: his parents, Donato and Lourdes Fernandez, his older brother Paulo and sister-in-law Maria Theresa, his younger brother Patrick and sister-in-law Tiffany, as well as his beloved nephews, Noah and Isaac.
Family, friends, and all who knew Philip are invited to honor his memory and celebrate a life beautifully lived at the following services:
A visitation will be held on June 28, 2026, from 1 - 9 PM at Forest Lawn - Cypress - Cypress Room, located at 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, CA 90630.
The funeral service will follow on June 29, 2026, from 2 - 3 PM at Forest Lawn - Cypress - Patriots Chapel, at the same address.
