Philip Rolston Djang

Philip Rolston Djang was born in Chaoyang, China to Kuan Djang and Shui Cheng Long on August 22, 1931. He passed away at age 91 in Monterey Park, California on January 11, 2023.

Educated in Beijing, Philip escaped Communist China to Hong Kong, where he worked as a pharmacist. In Hong Kong he met and married Kuei Shing Woo. They emigrated to Los Angeles, where Philip continued to work as a pharmacist - first at Cedars of Lebanon, and then as the Director of Pharmacy at Hollywood Community Hospital.

In 1989 Philip and Kuei Shing founded Infusion Care Pharmacy Services, a renowned home health care provider that primarily served AIDS and HIV-positive patients. After ten years, they closed ICPS and Philip indulged his lifelong love of travel, visiting numerous countries around the world. He also enjoyed fishing and on special occasions he handmade noodles and dumplings.

Philip was a wonderful, hard-working and supportive husband and father. He took care of friends as if they were family, and doted on the children of loved ones. We will miss Philip dearly - especially his sense of humor. Whenever we go to Lawry's, we'll think of his favorite saying: "Everything in the house is on the house."

Philip leaves behind his wife of 62 years and two sons, Daniel and Andrew. A beautiful Memorial Service was held on February 11, 2023 at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, where Philip and his parents are interred in the Court of Liberty.
