Phan Christensen, 86, born on March 18, 1940, in DaNang, Viet Nam, passed away August 15, 2026. She resided in Garden Grove, CA at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Cypress, CA.
We lost our Queen B on Saturday.
She went peacefully, leaving this life to be reunited with my dad and my brother. As much as our hearts are broken, there is comfort in imagining the three of them together again.
She may have been small, but she was a force to be reckoned with. Strong, stubborn, feisty, and fiercely herself—you always knew when she was in the room. She loved her family in her own way, and she leaves behind a space that can never truly be filled.
Our family has experienced more loss than I ever imagined we would have to carry, and saying goodbye to my Momasan feels like the end of an era.
Rest peacefully. Give Daddy and Jr. a hug from us. I hope the three of you are together again, catching up on everything you’ve missed.
Until we meet again, Momma. We love you.
