Petra Camarena

Petra Camarena was the best and most beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law and friend.  She had the biggest heart and loved unconditionally.  All those who had the pleasure of knowing her will always remember that she was a very welcoming, humble and loving person.  Friends and family who visited her know she would always have pan con cafecito ready with a good heart-warming conversation, which everyone enjoyed.  

Petra was married to her husband, Oscar Camarena, for 54 years.  They met when she was only a teenager, and her love and devotion for him was infinite.  She was a wonderful wife.

She always loved to dance and made sure she taught her two daughters, Ana and Sandra, and son, Oscar, to dance and have love for music among many other wonderful things.  She was the best mother and would always want happiness for her children and encouraged them to follow their dreams.

Becoming a grandmother was one of the happiest times for her.  Her five grandchildren Viviana, Peter, Kiara, Roger and Andres are going to miss her deeply.  She was always loving, patient and the most wonderful grandmother they could have asked for.

Petra cherished every moment when her great-grandchildren surrounded her.  Vincent, Harper, Alex, and Dakota will miss her so much.  She will now be guarding them from heaven.

At 71 years old, she is gone too soon, but her memories will always live in everyone's hearts.  Born on June 29, 1952, in La Vega, Jalisco, Mexico.  She resided in Garden Grove at the time of her passing on August 23, 2023.  Arangements are under the care of Forest Lawn in Cypress, CA.
