Peter Tabanera

Peter Tabanera was a remarkable soul who graced this world with his presence on March 31, 1953, in Sibalom, Antique, Philippines. Peter's journey through life was marked by dedication and passion. Peter earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from FEATI University Class of 1977. During his early career in the Philippines, Peter served as an Assistant Irrigation Engineer at the National Irrigation Administration from 1977 to 1979. A man of ambition and resilience, he later embarked on a new chapter in the United States where he flourished as a Mechanical Engineering Manager at IEE Displays for an impressive 34 years until 2022. His commitment to excellence and expertise in his field left an indelible mark on all those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Beyond his professional achievements, Peter's true joy emanated from his cherished moments spent with loved ones. He possessed a deep love for the outdoors and would often be found basking in the sun at the beach, fishing out in the Pacific, shooting hoops at the park, or tending to his backyard garden. His culinary skills were unmatched as he lovingly prepared his famous barbeque and kare-kare for family gatherings, creating memories that will forever linger in their hearts.

Peter's kindness knew no bounds; he was a beacon of warmth and selflessness to all who crossed his path. His gentle nature and unwavering love resonated within his family circle and beyond. His enduring legacy lives on through the love and values he instilled in those closest to him.

Peter's surviving family members include his beloved wife Florina Tabanera; his devoted children Mannix Tabanera, Adeline Tabanera Reimers, Vincent Tabanera; caring son-in-law Christopher Reimers, daughter-in-law Theresa Dumatol Tabanera; adorning grandchildren Camille Alexandra Tabanera, Elijah John Tabanera, Shawn Michael Reimers, Hunter Riley Reimers; along with numerous relatives and friends who will continue to honor his memory through the virtues he embodied.

A visitation event to pay tribute to Peter's remarkable life will be held on May 3, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles. A Funeral Service will be held on May 4th at Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills - Old North Church from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM as we gather to celebrate a life well-lived and bid farewell to a truly exceptional individual. A Reception to follow will be at the Reimers' Residence 10408 Yolanda Ave. Porter Ranch, CA 91326.
