Peter Lin, born on January 10, 1942, in Taiwan, passed away unexpectedly on September 10 2024. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a cherished grandfather. His unwavering dedication and support to his family has been the strength on which his children thrived and is now his legacy.
He always strove to achieve the highest academic accolade even though he came from a humble, disadvantaged background. He studied hard and graduated from the prestigious National Taiwan University with a degree in law.
Peter's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as he ran a successful import/export business, which helped to finance higher level education for his children. His commitment to his family extended beyond financial support; he was hands-on in caring for each and every one of his grandchildren: Elina Thapa, Jonathan Wu, Joshua Wu, Julianne Wu, Jennifer Lin, Kaitlin Lin and Connor Lin. They will forever remember their grandfather’s love and words of wisdom.
After retiring, Peter remained active in his community, engaging in hobbies and interests that brought people together. He taught wai tan kung at local parks, sharing his passion for health and wellness. Furthermore, he self-studied and excelled in practicing acupressure techniques which he freely used to help others alleviate pain – a testament to his generous spirit and desire to carry out good deeds in life.
Peter Lin is preceded in death by his parents, his two older brothers whose memory he held close. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and commitment, inspiring many through both his professional accomplishments and his personal life. Peter will be deeply missed by all who knew him. All his dedication to those around him will be forever cherished in gratitude.
His life will be celebrated at funeral service taking place on September 28, 2024, at 9:30 AM at the Forest Lawn - Covina Hills - Memory Chapel in Covina, CA. The family appreciates all the thoughts, prayers, and blessings from everyone near and far. No monetary gifts please- your friendship and love over the years are more than sufficient.

他幼年時家境清寒,家裡有六個小孩,他在家中排行老三,他非常的孝順父母友愛兄弟與妹妹,並且努力追求最高的學術榮譽,他勤奮學習,最後從著名的國立台灣大學畢業,獲得法律學位。
彼得的企業家精神熠熠生輝,他經營的進出口業務非常成功,幫助資助了孩子們的高等教育。他對家庭的承諾不僅限於經濟支持;他親力親為地照顧每一位孫子孫女:林依霖, 吳家誠, 吳家齊, 吳家安, 林昱均, 林楷玲, 林楷能。他們將永遠銘記祖父的愛與智慧之言。
退休後,彼得在社區中仍然積極參與,從事各種興趣愛好,促進人們的交流。他在當地公園教授外丹功,分享他對健康與幸福的熱情。此外,他自學並精通指壓技術,幫助他人緩解疼痛,是個受大家愛戴的好老師,好朋友!
彼得·林在世時,他的父母及兩位年長的兄弟已先行離世,他始終懷念他們,現在他到天國去與他們團聚了!留下了滿滿的愛、力量和善行!通過他的專業成就和個人生活激勵了許多人。所有認識他的人都將深切懷念彼得。他對周圍人的奉獻將永遠被珍視和感激。
他的生命將於2024年9月28日早上9:30在加州科維納的森林草坪-科維納山-紀念禮堂舉行追思會。家人感謝所有來自四面八方的思念、祈禱和祝福。請勿贈送金錢與禮物,大家多年來的友誼和愛已足夠。謝謝大家。
