Pete Garza

March 11, 1962 — December 10, 2023

Pete Garza, born on March 11, 1962, passed away on December 10, 2023, in Cypress, California. He was a devoted husband to Kim Garza and a proud father to his son Jarod and daughter Alexandra. Pete was also survived by his mother Katy Garza, brother John Garza, sister-in-law Nina Garza, and sister Norma Beeman.

Pete's early career started at a travel agency right after high school. Later on, he joined United Artists Theaters, where he began as a cashier and steadily climbed the ranks to become a District Manager. In 2000, Pete transitioned into the Finance sector and worked as a Financial Business Manager for Wells Fargo and City National. Unfortunately, amidst the financial crisis in 2009, Pete faced setbacks that led him towards early retirement.

However, retirement did not slow Pete down. He wholeheartedly embraced supporting his children through their sports activities and school events. Pete was always present on the sidelines cheering them along and providing unwavering support.

Pete's educational journey included graduating from Serra High School and enrolling at California State University, Long Beach, where he studied Finance. This educational background played a significant role in shaping his successful career in the financial sector.

Outside of work and family life, Pete had several hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He had a profound love for football that began during his time playing the sport in high school. Throughout his life, he remained an ardent supporter of his favorite teams: the Dallas Cowboys and Chargers. Even during challenging times when these teams faced difficulties making it to the playoffs, Pete's loyalty never wavered.

In addition to football, Pete found solace in reading non-fiction books and diving into captivating movies. Riding his bike through scenic routes also provided him with moments of serenity and relaxation.

One notable aspect of Pete's personality was his preference for small gatherings over large social events. He possessed a warm and approachable nature, making him a pleasure to converse with. Pete had a loyal circle of friends who cherished his friendship and enjoyed the deep connections they shared.

Services to honor Pete's life will be held at Forest Lawn - Cypress. The visitation will take place on January 19, 2024, at Hope Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held the following day on January 20, 2024, at Patriots Chapel from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
