In Loving Memory of Pepito “Toots” Heramia Acosta

Pepito “Toots” Heramia Acosta, 57, passed away on February 12, 2026, in Glendale, California. He was born on March 31, 1968, at Trinity General Hospital in Santa Ana, Manila, in the Philippines.

Toots was the beloved son of Teotima Zamora Heramia and Francisco Honrado Acosta. He spent his formative years in Manila, where he attended Don Bosco Technical Institute in Mandaluyong City. He later studied electronic engineering at Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Manila and worked in manufacturing after immigrating to the U.S. in 1989.

Toots had a deep love for the outdoors and embraced life with a spirit of adventure and an irreverent sense of humor that often brought a smile to those around him. An avid traveler, he experienced many cherished trips with his family, especially in the last few years.

Above all, Toots was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife, Jenet Grajo-Acosta, his two sons, Patrick Gabriel Acosta and Matthew Gabriel Acosta, and his siblings Aida, Priscilla, Francisco, Ophelia, Edgardo, Noel, and Luis. His family was his greatest pride and the center of his life.

The viewing will be held at Forest Lawn in Glendale on March 5, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Incarnation Catholic Church in Glendale at 11:00 a.m. For those unable to attend, the funeral mass will be livestreamed on the church’s YouTube channel and Facebook page, which can be accessed from its website incaglendale.org. Interment will follow immediately after mass at Forest Lawn in Glendale. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Bowl of Love, a charity near to Toots’s heart that is dedicated to feeding impoverished children in his hometown of Barangay Banaoang, Calasiao, Pangasinan.
