His unwavering trust in God, even throughout his illness, was a source of strength and inspiration to his family.
Pedro D. Estavillo, 72, born on October 19, 1953, in Tarlac, Philippines, passed away peacefully on August 01, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the love of his families and close friends during his final moments. At the time of his passing, he resided in Baldwin Park, California.
Affectionately known as Peter, Pete, Boy, Bobot, Pedro was cherished by everyone who knew him. He will be remembered for his warm hospitality, boundless generosity, unwavering work ethic, and kind heart. Gardening was one of his greatest passions, reflecting his patience, dedication, and love for nurturing life. He could often be found caring for his plants from the early morning hours until midday. So devoted was he to his gardening that he would sometimes become completely absorbed in his work, delaying his meals until his blood sugar would occasionally drop.
Above all, Pedro was a man of deep and steadfast faith. His love for God was the foundation of his life, and he faithfully instilled in his children the belief that God should always come first. His unwavering trust in God, even throughout his illness, was a source of strength and inspiration to his family.
Pedro is survived by his beloved wife, Leonila; his loving children, Girlie, Peter and Karen; his children-in-law, Mark, Katherine, and Alex; his treasured grandchildren, Nichole, Nathan, Natalie, Khloe, Kaylie, Kristoff, Kristalie, and Ashton; his sisters, Marina and Adoracion.
His love for God was the foundation of his life, and he faithfully instilled in his children the belief that God should always come first.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Esteban and Alejandra; his siblings, Sixto, Virgilio, Edillo, and Felisa.
Pedro's legacy of faith, love, generosity, and devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that his life was a testament to God's grace and that his memory will continue to inspire generations to come.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California.
