Pauline Elizabeth Hanson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, traveler, and woman of faith, passed away on December 6, 2024, at the age of 82. She was a devoted member of the Palm Springs Church of the Nazarene in Cathedral City, California. Born in the rolling hills of eastern Ohio, she grew up in a rural setting. She married Byron E. Provins and raised two boys with him until his death in 1982. Her passion for learning led her to achieve a master’s degree and dedicate her professional life to teaching, where she touched the lives of many students with inspiration and care. Pauline married Stephen C. Hanson, her dedicated husband of many decades, and together they built a life filled with love, faith, and adventure. Always fond of traveling, she visited all corners of the globe. Pauline is survived by her husband Steve Hanson of Cathedral City, CA, and her two sons, Cris Provins of San Bernardino, CA, and Alan Provins of Canton, MI and two grandchildren.
