OBITUARY for Paul Leon Skidmore

November 6, 1939 — November 19, 2025

PAUL LEON SKIDMORE - 86, born on November 6, 1939, in Tipton, IN, United States, passed away on November 19, 2025. He resided in Walnut, CA most of his life but resided in West Covina, CA at Regency Grand Assisted Living Facility at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California.

Paul passed away surrounded by his daughter, son-in-law, and his two grandchildren. He was born to Ernest and Ruth Skidmore in Tipton, Indiana. Paul graduated from Sheridan High School in 1957. Upon graduating, he attended Lain Technical Institute in Indiana where he received an Associates of Science Degree. In 1959 he went into the military where he enlisted and served with the Air Force for 4 years as an Airman, First Class. Afterwards, he attended Allen Hancock College and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree. Later on, he was certified in computer programming from Mt. San Antonio College.

Throughout his life he was employed by Honeywell, Hughes Aircraft, Warner Brothers Studios, and Disney Imagineering. Paul was a valued member and President of the Diamond Bar-Walnut Lions Club for many years. He was a group leader for the YMCA Indian Guides and the Boy Scouts for his son Brian and for the Indian Princesses for his daughter Karen.

Paul is survived by his daughter Karen, son-in-law Darren Elpant, his two grandchildren, Aiden and Milo, and his sister Doris Ann Reveles. He is preceded in death by his parents Ernie and Ruth Skidmore, wife (of 57 years) Toni, his first born son Brian, and his eldest sister Erna Rae Roome.

Paul loved his family and was always very generous to many. He was a kind person and will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 19th at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills in the MEMORY CHAPEL starting promptly at 12 noon, the interment service immediately following at 1pm.
