East Hampstead, NH: Paul A. Moore, Sr., 92, of East Hampstead died on December 31, 2013 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry.
He was born in Lynn, MA son of the late Leo A. and Josephine (Snell) Moore.
Paul proudly served his country in the Naval Air Corps in 1942 and 1943. Upon his discharge, he attended and graduated from Amherst College with his Bachelor's Degree.
He and his brother Richard owned and operated Moore Brothers Ladies Sportswear headquartered in Beverly, Ma. At the peak of their growth, there were several manufacturing sites and 7 retail outlets, including one for many years in Plaistow NH.
Mr. Moore was an active communicant of St. Anne's Church in Hampstead. He and his wife, Shirley, owned a home in Wolfeboro, NH and lived there for many years. They enjoyed the last nine years together in their home at Angle Pond Condominiums in East Hampstead. His life was dedicated to his faith, his family and his business.
He is survived by his wife Shirley J. (Mellor) Moore, two sons, Timothy S. Moore of Dover, NH, Mark T. Moore and his wife Mary of Concord, NH, a daughter Debbie Moore of North Andover, MA, eight grandchildren, Aimee Taylor, Christopher Moore, Pamela Moore, Thomas Moore, Jennifer Murphy, Elizabeth Moore, Eric Moore, and Jonathan Moore, three great-grandchildren, Patrick Taylor, Kiera Taylor, and Adam Taylor, MA, a daughter-in-law Susan Moore of Tuftonboro, NH, and a brother Richard T. Moore of Salem, MA. He is predeceased by his son, Paul A. Moore, Jr., and two brothers, Leo A. Moore, Jr. and Edward K. Moore. Mr. Moore will be sorely missed by all of his family and friends.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Anne's Church, 26 Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the calling hours at the church at 11:45 a.m. Spring burial will take place at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery in Wolfboro, NH.
