Patrick Terrance O'Hearn went to rest in the arms of the Lord on March 31, 2013, at the age of 82. Patrick lived a full and happy life, centered on his love of family and friends. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 22, 1930. After serving his country in active duty in the Air Force Reserves, he attended North Texas State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1954. He then began his career in the oil and gas industry working in lease acquisition in Texas, Colorado, Montana, and Oregon. Patrick retired in 1998 and relinquished his status as a snow bird to be a permanent resident of Palm Springs, Calif. He loved people and was an active member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, the Palm Springs Front Runners and the Prime Timers of the Desert. Patrick was fun and adventurous. He enjoyed sailing, cross country skiing, hiking, travel, swimming, and photography. He was an admirer of the Arts. He loved the desert and especially enjoyed Joshua Tree National Forest. He is loved and survived by his partner, Howard Russo; sister, Jerry Meier and three children, Kelly O'Hearn-Smith, Courtney O'Hearn Inman and Brian O'Hearn. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Matthew Wiggins, Price Inman and Hunter Inman. Patrick was blessed with six great-grandchildren, Chelsie, Tristan, Clayton, Carter, Brooke and Grace. He also had numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Taylor O'Hearn; mother, Dorothy Doak; and grandson, Timothy Wiggins. A Memorial Service will be held at The Church of St. Paul in the Desert, 125 West El Alameda, Palm Springs, Calif., on Friday, April 5th at 11:00 AM. A reception and celebration of life will follow at the Four Seasons at Palm Springs (The Lodge), 3800 Four Seasons Blvd., Palm Springs, Calif.
