Patricia 'Jean' Porter was born in Waltham, Massachusetts to the late Gideon R.S. and Helen E. (Flaherty) Hevenor. She passed peacefully at the Exeter Hospital on September 11th 2015 with her children at her bed side after suffering a sudden illness. She graduated from the Weymouth, Massachusetts High School in 1944. She attended Northern Essex Community College focusing on a career in Accounting. She worked as a Draftswoman at the Fall River Ship Yard during World War II. With her family she moved to Plaistow, NH in 1954. While raising her family, she served briefly as a Notary Public and Justice of Peace in Plaistow. She was an accomplished accountant working in Haverhill, Massachusetts for Kotzen & Kotzen, Fleet Plastics and Chemical Compounders as an Accountant and Office Manager until her retirement in 1993. She is predeceased by her husband of 39 years Arthur L. Porter. As parishioners of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Hampstead, NH, she and her husband were instrumental in the re-opening of the church in 1960 and remained very active until her death as a Lay Eucharistic Minister II, and serving on several committees and traveling abroad to Jerusalem to attend ministry education programs. She leaves behind her children, Stephanie J. (Porter) Bonovich and her partner Richard H. Fournier of Newmarket, NH, Eric D. Porter of Plaistow, NH, Leslie C. (Porter) Miller and her husband, Glenn P. Miller of Kingston, NH, and Plaistow Police Sgt. Alec D. Porter and his wife Roclyn R. (Carey) Porter of Kingston, NH, 10 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren and she was looking forward to the birth of two more. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all of her family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 17, 2015, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 187 East Road, Hampstead, NH. A Funeral Liturgy and Eucharist will be held at 11:15 in the church and followed by a reception from 12:15-2:00 PM in the church hall. A private family burial service will take place later in the day at Plaistow Cemetery.
