Pamela Kay

September 9, 1955 — February 22, 2025

Pamela "Pam" Kay, (formly Leto) was a beloved sister, wife, aunt, and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and quiet strength. Born on September 9, 1955, to Frank and June Leto, Pam was the third of four children and a cherished member of her family.

Pam had a remarkable work ethic from an early age. One of her first jobs was in sales before embarking on a new venture in the 1990s when her brother Dave helped her open a comic book store in Santa Monica. It was there that she met her husband Mike a favorite customer. They married in 2000 at Panorama Presbyterian Church with her cousin Cindy as maid of honor. Pam and Mike shared a love of travel, particularly to Hawaii, and built a life together in Brea with their beloved English bulldog, Spanky.

Encouraged by Mike, Pam took a position at Caltrans, which turned into a nearly two-decade-long career. She was a diligent, appreciated and loyal employee, earning the Sustained Superior Accomplishment Award for her exceptional service. Additionally, Pam was dedicated to caring for her mother, especially in her later years, which is something the family will be forever grateful.

Pam enjoyed stand-up comedy and sharing laughs with her sister, Sue. She also enjoyed many trips to the Adirondacks in New York with her brother Tom and his family.

Over the past few years, her niece Nakia and cousin Cindy provided her with such loving care and support. In Pam’s final months, Sage Senior Living in Glendale provided a lovely home that was filled with kindness, care and love.

Pam’s life was defined by quiet dedication, deep loyalty, and a profound love for her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Everyone is welcome to Pam’s graveside service Saturday, March 15th at Forrest Lawn in Glendale. We’ll gather near the park entrance at 11:30 for a procession up to the gravesite.

Following the service, there will be a gathering of friends and family for refreshments at Sage Senior Living, 525 West Elk Avenue, Glendale.

Flowers may be kindly sent to Sage Senior Living, 525 West Elk Ave., Glendale, CA 91204.
