In Loving Memory of Ovalla Cleavette Hebb Davidson
Ovalla Cleavette Hebb Davidson was born to Mr. William Marion Hebb and Mrs. Ovalla Jeri Merrieweather Hebb Bennett on March 29, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee. She lived a life of faith, service, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
From a young age, Ovalla's love for music and singing brought joy to those around her. A graduate of Pearl High School, she pursued studies in Mental Health and dedicated her career to helping others as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor at MADAP.
Ovalla's faith journey began early, and she attended Pentecostal Tabernacle C.O.G.I.C. She later moved to California, where her devotion shone through her work with Sons of God Ministries and Reach Out Ministries. She was actively involved in the Children's Ministry and Outreach Ministries, tirelessly supporting and encouraging many. She also cherished her connection with Latter Rain Ministries, proudly calling Bishop Jody Crawford her pastor.
Ovalla accepted Jesus Christ into her life at a young age, and her faith remained the cornerstone of her journey. She lived with grace and compassion, touching the lives of all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Jeffrey D. Hebb, and her great-granddaughter, Raeyuara A. Wharry. On April 15, 2025, Ovalla was called home to be with the Lord.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her devoted sisters, Ednaearle Hebb Burney (Nashville, Tennessee) and Shirley Hebb Trotter (Nashville, Tennessee), as well as her loving children: Gerald L. Hebb (Betty), Sheryl L. Hebb Wharry, Randall A. Hebb (Cynthia), Rhonda C. Hebb Smith (Bennie Sr.) and Kevin J. Hebb (Claudia).
Ovalla was also a beloved grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love that lives on through her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her many nieces and nephews. Her impact extended beyond family, touching the hearts of dear friends who were like family to her.
Ovalla’s love, strength, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
