Otilio Ortiz Ortega, 72 year old loving husband, father, brother, and uncle, of Coachella, Calif. passed away September 9, 2013 in Indio, Calif. He was born December 4, 1940 to Margarita and Otilio Ortega in Indio, Calif. He is preceded in death by his wife, Julia Alvarez Ortez and daughter Lisa Cruz Ortega. He is survived by his son Otilio Manuel Ortega of Palm Springs, Calif., brothers Danny Ortega and George Ortega both of Indio, Calif., sisters Lupe Loredo of Indio, Calif., Jose Ortega of Chowchilla, Calif. and Julie Cermeno of Los Banos, Calif. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 7 pm at Forest Lawn, 82975 Requa Avenue, Indio, CA 92201. Funeral mass will be September 23, 2013 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 45299 Deglet Noor, Indio, CA 92201 at 10 am followed by burial at Coachella Valley Cemetery, 82925 Avenue 52, Coachella, CA 92236. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn.
