Oscar Ernesto Tapia

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Oscar Ernesto Tapia, 63. Born to Maria Teresa Tapia and Alejandro Tapia, on June 26, 1952, in Esteli, Nicaragua. He attended High School, Los Angeles Community College, and California State University of Los Angeles. Over the past twenty five years of his life Oscar worked for the City of Corona and City of Anaheim in the Engineering Department. He retired from the City of Anaheim in 2015.

Having been diagnosed with cancer in 2014, he lost his brave and tenacious battle with this brutal disease on February 13, 2016. He spent the last two years of his life enjoying his family and hobbies which included: hunting, hiking, camping, biking, and outdoor adventuring. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing in his home at Sun City, CA. He is survived by his parents, children, and sisters.
