Oscar Roy Newton

Oscar Roy Newton, 77, born on August 21, 1940, in Alexandria, Louisiana, passed away September 7, 2017. He resided in Fontana, California at the time of his passing. He was married to Bertha Mae (Jackson) Newton in 1971, until her passing in 2008. He is survived by Shalonda Matthews (3 children) Jaelyn, Maia and Kaitlin Matthews (San Diego, CA), Kimetra Newton (Fontana, CA), Pamela Kay Scott (3 children) Eren Scott (Hampton, VA), Breann and Brianna Scott (Alexandria, LA) and Cartwell Newton. Oscar is survived by siblings Bernell Newton (Luella) Corona, CA, Mickel Newton (Nelda) Houston, TX, Bridjette N. Perry and Brenda N. Belvin Alexandria, LA. Deceased siblings are Dorothy, Arbra, Billie, Cartwell, Joseph, and Charles Newton. Also deceased are his parents, Rev. John and Mrs. Blanche Ennis Newton.

Oscar is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was a wonderful man and will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
