Oscar Jacobo Gonong

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Oscar Jacobo Gonong, who left us on December 3, 2025 at the age of 86.

Born on August 24, 1939 in Paoay, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, Oscar Jacobo Gonong spent his life as a loving husband, devoted father, proud veteran and a man of unwavering character. He dedicated much of his life to serving his country with honor and distinction. He was enlisted in the United States Navy on May 1968, where he rose to the rank of Chief Hospital Corpsman (HMC). Throughout his military career, he cared for countless service members with skill, compassion and leadership. His commitment to duty reflected the very best of what it means to serve.

Oscar was a family man at heart. He always places his family at the center of his life. His wisdom, humor and steady presence were gifts he shared generously with those he loved.

Oscar is survived by his wife, Maria; his daughters Annagene and Mary Ann (Vincent); son Roberto (Mariebeth); grandsons Lucas and John Roberts; as well as his sister Nena and numerous family and friends who will forever treasure his stories, humor and memories.
