Orlando Ruano Orellana, known affectionately as "Paisa" among his co-workers, was born on September 7, 1946, in Jutiapa, Guatemala. He passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, in Long Beach, California, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and love.

Orlando devoted over 30 years of his life to a fulfilling career in the Aerospace Industry, specializing in sheet metal fabrication. His mastery of various sheet metal forming machines rendered him an invaluable asset to his company, where his dedication and expertise were highly respected by colleagues and supervisors alike.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Orlando proudly served in the Guatemalan Airforce as a paratrooper. Following his military service, he took on the important role of bodyguard for several high-ranking government officials—a testament to his commitment and sense of duty.

Orlando's personality shone brightly through his kind and welcoming nature. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor and maintained a calm demeanor that was contagious to those around him. He cherished spending quality time with his family, particularly during holidays and joyous birthday gatherings, which were filled with laughter and shared memories.

As a passionate sports enthusiast, Orlando enjoyed attending soccer games every Sunday with friends and family. He found great joy in the thrill of gaming at casinos, often indulging in the excitement of playing slots. However, nothing brought him more happiness than the simple pleasure of playing cards at home with his loved ones, often joyfully exclaiming, "Vamos a hechar la manita."

Orlando is survived by his beloved wife, Elsa Ruano; his daughters, Dina Garcia and Jessica Ramirez; his son, Erick Ruano; and six cherished grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation service on November 24, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Forest Lawn - Cypress, Cypress Room, located at 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, CA 90630.

Orlando Ruano Orellana will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
