Omar Velasquez, affectionately known as “Júnior,” was born on March 16, 1989, in Los Angeles, California. He passed away on March 10, 2025, in San Diego, leaving behind a legacy marked by his entrepreneurial spirit and his love for family.

Omar dedicated fifteen years to building a successful career as an entrepreneur, during which he worked tirelessly, embodying the definition of self-made success. He believed in the value of hard work and made it his mission to improve not only his own life but also the lives of those around him. His commitment to generosity and kindness touched many lives, and he went above and beyond to assist others whenever he could.

Omar was the essence of good energy and happiness, always the life of the party. Additionally, Omar is survived by his beloved children: Connie, Jay, Gabriel, Ethan, and Octavia, who were a source of joy and pride throughout his life.

As a lover of music and a connoisseur of food, Omar found joy in simple pleasures, with seafood and BBQ ribs being his favorites. His zest for life resonated through shared meals and music with family and friends.

Omar leaves behind not only an indelible mark on those who loved him but also a legacy filled with compassion and a genuine desire to help others. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Olivia González, and his uncle, Miguel Rodriquez, who welcomed him with open arms.

The community will gather to honor Omar's life during two funeral services at the Forest Lawn - Covina Hills - Church of our Heritage in Covina, California. The first service will be held on April 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, followed by a second service on April 18, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM.

Omar's positive spirit, his unwavering kindness, and the joy he brought to others will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
