Dr. Olivia Corral Gomez

Dr. Olivia Corral Gomez, 59, born on November 22, 1963, in Chihuahua, Chih., México, passed away May 24, 2023 at her home in Whittier, CA.  Olivia came to California when she was 10 years old and did not speak a word of English.  She worked very hard throughout elementary, junior high, and high school and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of CA Irvine as well as her MD from UCLA, School of Medicine. As a medical professional, Olivia was very proud of her achievements, including the practice of her specialties in rheumatology and internal medicine.  Her greatest accomplishment, however, were her two sons, Frank Isidore Gomez and Nicholas Aaron Gomez.  She loved them very much.  There were many difficult moments in Olivia's life, especially the loss of her full term, unborn baby girl, Camille.  But Olivia came from a long line of strong and loving women like her mother, mamá Estela, and her grandmother, mamá Lencha, and she always did the best she could despite the rough times.  

Olivia is survived by her two sons, Frank and Nicholas, her parents, Miguel Angel and Maria Estela Corral, her siblings Armida, Michael, and Gloria.  She is also survived by many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, one grandnephew, Joey, another on his way soon, three grand nieces, Mele Faiva and Ilaisaane Kosem (Koko), and brand-new baby Zoey.   Olivia and Koko shared a love for Hello Kitty and often laughed and talked about it.  

Olivia will be missed greatly but we know she is now in a place where there is only love and forgiveness.   She is embraced by our amazing Mamá Lencha and our beloved Andrew.  Rest in love, Olivia!  You will always be in our hearts!
