Olga Lavergne Clarke
August 23, 1929 — September 27, 2017
Olga met her husband, Herb, in Louisiana while he was stationed at Fort Polk Army base. They fell in love, got married and moved to California. They were loving companions. Herb had been an avid birdwatcher and he introduced Olga to the world of birding. Birding became a passion they shared. Before long, Olga was leading bird tours all over the world. She was also recognized for her long association with the Los Angeles Audubon Society, for her cooking and for her southern charm. Herb would become known for his exceptional bird and nature photography and photo books before his passing in 2008.
Olga passed away on September 27,2017.
We will all miss our beautiful Olga and her southern charm.
