Norman Robert Timares

After many years of grieving, it is time to publish the passing of Norman Timares of Hollywood California who passed away on December 6, 2021 at Cedars Sinai Hospital.

Norman was born in Brooklyn New York in 1932, the son of Fred Timares and Bessie Timares, and brother to Stanley Timares. Young Norman focused on academics and excelled in school and university, earning degrees in engineering and business administration. After he graduated and began his professional career he managed his way out of Brooklyn and was soon traveling to Japan and working in aerospace. Not long after, Norman began working in aerospace engineering in the Los Angeles area and in 1959 married his partner for life, his beloved wife of nearly 63 years Natalie Timares. Norman and Natalie settled in Hollywood, and Norman worked hard and travelled far each day on LA freeways to work in Monrovia, Huntington Beach and Long Beach. Norman and Natalie had two children Laura and Mark Timares. Norman worked on cameras that flew on Apollo, camera layout systems used by Life Magazine, early computer systems and database systems, finally manufacturing aircraft such as the McDonnell Douglas MD-80, MD-95, and Boeing 717. But Norman was more than his career, he was a deeply beloved husband and father devoted to his family and to ensuring they felt loved and cared for. Norman loved the arts, architecture, music and his family most of all. Norman is so deeply missed by his family. We love you eternally Norman.
