Norma Sirakoff was born in Mexico City on September 1, 1950, and was called home to be with
Her Lord on January 14, 2021. She is survived by her husband Dimitri and three sons; Ivan,
Yuri, and Alex. Norma was a very loving, faithful, devoted, and supportive wife, giving all of
herself to her marriage. She was a caring, dedicated and compassionate mother who always put
family first, loving them unconditionally. She loved nature and the simple things of life, like
being at the beach, fishing, and eating sardines with yucca on banana leaves. She loved music
and was a great dance partner. She loved staying in great shape, exercising with step, Zumba,
yoga, aerobics, and weights. She was very health conscious and maintained a very healthy diet
that rubbed off on all. She was a great organizer and administrator of her home in Villa Park. She
hosted and celebrated many gatherings and holidays with family and friends. She constantly
expanded her culinary skills from different parts of the world and became an excellent chef. She
loved to decorate the house and cook delicious food for all to have a wonderful and memorable
time. Friends were very important to her. Many of her friends were from her school years. She
was a loyal friend, often-expressing empathy, love, and compassion for their needs. She was a
good listener and a non-judgmental, confidant to many. The Lord gave her many gifts, skills, and
talents, for others to enjoy. Norma was a devoted follower of her Lord Jesus. Every morning she
faithfully read and studied the Bible. She listened, followed devotionals, and attended church.
She loved her weekly Thursday night bible studies. She traveled to China, spreading the gospel,
and volunteered with the Saddleback church to the gulf coast after the Katrina hurricane disaster.
She traveled to Mexico on many medical mission trips. In 2008, she was a founder of a Food
Pantry that became Serve the People, a non-profit organization that opened medical, dental,
vision, and behavior health clinics with mobile vans serving the Orange County communities to
serve the marginalized population. God used her organizational and administrative skills to
register and oversee the food pantry. Often she would assist and find clothing for the homeless.
She never turned anyone away. She accommodated everyone with a loving touch and embrace.
For many years, she took great care of her family, home and started a vegetable garden growing
many varieties. She never stopped learning, read many books, and watched videos until she
mastered producing many different vegetables and flowers she shared with family and friends.
God gave her a super green thumb and a special innate way of connecting with animals, like her
beloved dog Jazzy. Daily, she spent many hours in the garden producing bountiful crops to share
with family and friends. Although we will miss Norma's delicious dishes, organization,
guidance, wisdom, hugs, kisses, and embrace, most of all we will miss her tremendous love,
smile, laughter, kindness, caring, compassion and spirit. Norma, you will live in our hearts
forever.
