Noemi Rosario, 82, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2024, surrounded by her devoted family and cherished friends. Noemi was born on May 19, 1942, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, to the late Luis and Anita Rodriguez.
Noemi’s life was a testament to unwavering love and devotion to her family and friends, rooted deeply in her faith. She met the love of her life, Marcelino Rosario, in 1958, and they were blessed with 62 years of marriage. United in faith and love, they raised three children who carry forward her legacy of kindness and compassion. Noemi is survived by her loving husband, Marcelino Rosario; her children, Luis Rosario-McCabe (Michael), Carmen Garabet (Tony), and Veronica Rosario; her grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher, and Matthew Garabet, Briana Bishop (Ryan), and Spencer Rosario-McCabe. She is also survived by her beloved brothers, Luis Rodriguez (Angela) and Benjamin Rodriguez (Suzanne), as well as nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Luis and Anita Rodriguez, and her sisters, Anadelia Rodriguez and Elizabeth Brandler.
Noemi was a gifted and compassionate caregiver. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse with a special calling to help the elderly and infirm. Her career in convalescent hospitals included roles such as Director of Nursing and Programming, where her boundless kindness and empathy left an indelible mark on those she served. She was a shining example of a selfless servant, always extending love and care to others.
Her family and friends find comfort in knowing that Noemi’s faith and generosity touched countless lives. Her spirit lives on through the memories she created, the lives she uplifted, and the example she set as a woman of faith, resilience, and grace.
Flowers and memorial contributions to Chino Spanish Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 12986 Central Avenue, Chino, CA 91710, are both welcome. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, CA.
