A free spirit from the very start, 

Nikki lived life with a fearless heart. She traveled roads few dare to roam, finding pieces of the world she called home. She loved hard and she felt love deeply, especially for her family who meant everything to her. She saw beauty where others might not see. She cared for the forgotten, the lost, the lonely, and made every wandering soul feel known. Her laugh was contagious, wild, and bright. Her laugh incited a spark of joy, was like a flash of light. Nikki was the life of the party, fierce,  true, and adventurous in all goals she chose to pursue. Her beloved dog Odessa was always by her side, her loyal companion on every ride. For nine and a half years through cities and plains, through sunshine, cold nights, and wandering trains. Though her journey was rugged, her heart was kind, leaving a trail of love behind. Those who knew her will always say Nickel's light will never fade away.
