August 3, 1984 — September 28, 2021

Nicholas was called to heaven on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Big Pines Lake, CA.

Nicholas "Nick" Daniel Corpuz was born on August 3, 1984 to Efren U. Corpuz and Evelyn R. Edwards in Glendora, CA. Nicholas overcame leukemia at the age of 7 against a 4% chance of survival. His mother, Evelyn, gave him life twice, once when he was born and again when she donated her bone marrow to him to save his life. He grew up in West Covina and graduated from West Covina High School in 2002. He attended Cal Poly Pomona majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering and went on to graduate from the Arts Institute of Orange County with a B.S. degree in Industrial Design in 2009.

Nicholas began to take interest in technology at a young age thus starting his career at Best Buy as a member of Geek Squad. He went on to work for the e-commerce company Monoprice as a Technical Support and RMA agent but later changed his field to Healthcare, recently being promoted to a management position at Kaiser Permanente.

Nick was a talented musician who loved to play the guitar, sing karaoke, and listen to vinyl records ranging from classic rock and electro to 90's hip hop. He had a strong gift for cooking and baking and loved preparing meals to share with his family and friends. He especially loved being outdoors whether it be fishing, hiking, camping, or hunting and was always in search of his next adventure. He also had a great love of movies with Star Wars being his favorite series and really enjoyed racing and adventure video games.

Nicholas was a kind, loving, generous, and loyal friend to all who knew him. He always put others before himself and was intelligent, compassionate, and gentle in the way he spoke. He listened to and loved those around him unconditionally, and had the most infectious sense of humor. He was someone that would always be there for you and would never give up on you. To those who knew him in life, he was loved and will forever be missed. Nicholas is survived by his mother, Evelyn, his father, Efren, and his younger brother, Justin.
