Neria Cornillez Garcia

Our beloved sister, Nerie Cornillez Garcia, 69, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021. Her family was present at the hospital at the time of her passing.

She is survived by her husband, Ganie Garcia of 47 years, 3 children -Nikki, Johnny and IanScott and 5 grandchildren - Mikelle, Michael, Jovi, Isagani III and Kaia. She is also survived by her sister Nenette, brothers Jose and Alfredo. Nerie was predeceased by her father Eduardo Cornillez, mother Potenciana Cornillez and
brother Antonio.

She was known to everyone as Nerie. She was a devoted wife and mother. Nerie and Ganie were married in Manila, Philippines on Jan 5, 1974, and settled in Los Angeles, CA.  She was a homemaker and supported her husband in his entrepreneurial businesses.

She was dedicated to her hometown of Bobon, Samar.  Her commitment and love for Santo Niño was displayed through her contributions with the Bobon-USA Residents Association at their annual fiesta celebrations. She was an avid traveler. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, family and friends. Nerie also loved to dance.  She and Ganie would always be spotted on the dance floor at every function. They were always the leaders when the music started. 

Nerie was loved her family and friends. Although she will be terribly missed, we know that she is dancing in heaven, watching over us.
