With deep love and sorrow, we share the sad news that our precious and beloved father, Nemesio Azucena Tatlonghari, passed away peacefully at age 101 on November 26, 2025 in Arcadia, California.

Daddy Neme is survived by his five children and their families: Noel (Issa), Lally, Gina (Noel John), Hazel (Joey) and Roy (Christine). Grandchildren, Kuku (Johann), Kamki (Mike), Markel (Sherille), Therese, Jose Mari (Alyssa), Tricia Ann, John and Caiden. Great grandchildren, TJ, JT, ZZ, Ethan, Kenji, Maddie, Loui and Eisley. Siblings, Norma, Jose and Luz.

Born on December 19, 1923 in Calapan, Mindoro Oriental, Philippines to his parents Gregorio Tatlonghari and Sesinanda Azucena Tatlonghari. He is preceded in death by our mother, Socorro Villena Tatlonghari, his siblings, Modesto, Araceli, Melecia, Aurora and Estelita, son-in-law, Ronette and daughter-in-law, Jonjin.

Daddy Neme devoted his life nurturing his family with consistent love, guidance, affection, attention to his family’s needs, fostered security and confidence in his children, taught life lessons with empathy and respect. His nurturing nature extended to his relatives, friends and to his faith community.

In one of his grandchildren’s school projects, he was interviewed and asked, what advice would you give others so that they might age successfully? His response, “Live a simple, happy lifestyle, think not only of yourself but care and love others especially those in need. Think positive, do not worry, put your faith and trust in God.” He added, “That success in life should not be measured by the material wealth we have accumulated in this world, nor by the social status, but by what we continue to do with what we have in life. Make the best of what you have, have faith and trust God.”
