Nemesia Precillas Anderson

Nemesia Precillas Anderson passed away Friday evening, February 14, 2014 at Henry Mayo Hospital in Valencia, CA. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday February 22nd, 2014 from 9am - 1pm at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills Mortuary, followed by a service at the Old North Church at 2:30pm.

Nemesia was born on February 25, 1934 in Jolo, Sulu, Philipines. The daughter of the late Isisdoro and Velia Balana Luague, she was one out of 9 siblings. She graduated from the Philipine Normal College and began her career as an elementary school teacher. Nemesia married Francisco Precillas and had 2 sons and 2 daughters. Francisco Precillas passed away February 23, 1977.

Nemesia came to the United States and on September 17, 1987 she married Earl Anderson. They spent their days living in Long Beach, CA as she worked for Applause Inc. Earl Anderson passed away on July 14, 2002.

In Nemesia's later days she lived in Canyon Country with her son and daughter in law. She was an active member of the International Bible Baptist Church. What brought joy to her was spending many of her days in the kitchen baking for those she cared for and also enjoyed spending time with her sister, nephew, neices and granddaughter in Long Beach.

Nemesia is survived by 3 children, Lilli Velia Menchavez of Cebu, Philipines, Dahlia with spouse Paul Stanton of Union, KY, and Frank with spouse Helen Precillas of Canyon Country, CA and 7 grandchildren Arriane and Earl Menchavez; Erik and Precilla Precillas; Samantha and Glen Stanton; and Denise Precillas. 3 sisters and a brother; Ever Ferguson, Zelma Urban, Lorna de Vera, and Samuel Luague

She was preceded in death by two husbands, her son Norman Precillas, son in law Leo Menchavez and 2 brothers Pepe and Iluminado Precillas and 2 sisters Aurora Ortiz and Rebecca Yap.
